Book'n Bali ("we", "us", "our") operates the accommodation booking platform at booknbali.com. The platform is operated by Nusa Hospitality LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Colorado, United States.

We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with applicable data-protection laws, including the U.S. state privacy laws applicable to us (including the Colorado Privacy Act), Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) where applicable to our users, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Information you provide directly

• Account registration details (email address, password).

• Booking information (check-in/out dates, number of guests, special requests, guest names).

• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe, our payment partner; we do not store full card numbers on our servers. With your authorization, a secure payment token may be saved for future charges as described in our Terms of Service.

• Messages you send to properties or our support team.

Information collected automatically

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referral URL, timestamps.

• Device data: operating system, screen resolution, language settings.

• Search queries you enter into our natural-language search, used to deliver results and improve search quality.

• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).

3. How We Use Your Information

• To process and manage your bookings and send confirmation and reminder emails.

• To create and maintain your account and membership.

• To process payments, deposits, and refunds, and to charge applicable cancellation or no-show fees you have authorized.

• To provide customer support.

• To improve our platform, personalize search results, and detect fraud.

• To send transactional communications (booking confirmations, reminders, account notices).

• To send marketing communications, including member offers and seasonal promotions, where you have consented. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any marketing email.

• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Membership Communications

When you create an account, you automatically become a Book'n Bali member at no cost, as described in our Terms of Service. As a member, you may receive emails about exclusive rates, seasonal promotions, and added-value offers. These are marketing communications: you can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in each email or through your account settings, without affecting your account or bookings.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

• Property owners — to fulfil your booking (name, contact details, arrival time, special requests).

• Payment processors (Stripe) — to handle transactions securely.

• Channel-management and reservation-synchronisation providers — to keep availability accurate across booking channels and prevent double bookings. These providers receive only the booking data necessary for synchronisation.

• Service providers — hosting, email delivery, analytics, AI-powered search processing, and customer-support tools, all bound by data-processing agreements.

• Law enforcement or regulators — where required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and booking records for as long as your account is active and for up to 5 years afterwards for accounting and legal purposes. Saved payment tokens are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in our Terms of Service and are deleted upon account deletion, subject to legal retention requirements. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 9).

7. International Transfers

We are a U.S.-based company, and our servers and third-party service providers may be located in the United States or other countries outside your country of residence, including outside Indonesia and the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you logged in between sessions.

• Remember your currency and filter preferences.

• Measure site traffic and feature usage (via privacy-friendly analytics).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the site.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.

• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including TLS encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews — to protect your personal data. Payment card data is handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; however, we work continuously to protect your information.

11. Children

Our platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
